About Me
I am Ali Rahmani, a photographer.
Since childhood, photography has been more than just capturing moments for me — it has been a kind of magic. I vividly remember the first time I saw my father’s Polaroid camera; a rush of emotions washed over me: excitement, curiosity, wonder, and even a hint of fear. That early memory still lives on, fresh and inspiring.
As I grew older and learned how cameras worked, photography became a language — silent yet profound — capable of telling stories, preserving memories, questioning, and dreaming.
After completing my studies in an unrelated field, I decided to follow my true passion and step fully into the boundless world of photography — a decision that profoundly changed the course of my life. Over the years, through attending workshops, formal courses, countless hours of studying, and most importantly, seeing and observing, I trained my eyes to perceive the world anew.
I began my professional journey with portrait photography, but it didn’t take long to realize I couldn't confine myself to a single genre. Exploring Food, architectural, landscape, and social photography opened new windows to a deeper understanding of humanity, urban life, and nature.
For me, photography is not just a profession — it is a way of thinking, narrating, and engaging with the world; a tool for asking questions, seeking meaning, and building a silent yet profound dialogue with others.
Throughout this journey, I have participated in various artistic and social projects, exhibited my work, and grown alongside my students through teaching and collaborative learning.
Even today, I believe that every photograph is an invitation to a new contemplation; a brief journey both inward and outward.
If you would like to accompany me on this journey, I would be delighted to start a new conversation.
